FDLE CIVIL APPLICANT Application (Corporate Account) DCF

Florida ORI Agency Number Required

What is an Florida ORI? The ORI (Originating Agency Identifier) is a unique 9-character code (e.g., FL920010z) assigned by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE). It ensures your fingerprint results are sent to the correct agency or entity requiring your background check.

  • Where to find it: Your ORI number is provided to you by the agency, employer, licensing board, or entity that instructed you to get fingerprinted. Please check any application forms, instruction sheets, emails, or official websites related to your license or employment.
  • Crucial: You must provide the correct ORI number for your specific application.  An incorrect ORI number will result in delays or your fingerprints being sent to the wrong agency, requiring you to be re-fingerprinted at your own expense.
