Miami Beach Livescan Fingerprinting : ATF Livescan Fingerprinting

ATF Livescan Fingerprinting

Miami Beach is not just about sun, surf, and sand. It’s also a hub for cutting-edge technologies like Livescan Fingerprinting. This technology, especially when combined with the ATF’s use of electronic fingerprint transmission, can play a pivotal role in both public safety and professional licensing. So, what’s all the buzz about?

What is LiveScan Fingerprinting?

You know the old-school method of fingerprinting where ink is applied to each finger, and then you roll each finger onto a card? Livescan is the modern, digital version of that. Instead of ink and paper, it utilizes advanced scanning technology to capture a digital image of the fingerprint.

History and Background of ATF Fingerprinting

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) isn’t new to the fingerprint game. But with Livescan, they’ve truly modernized. The ATF uses fingerprinting for various purposes, including the verification of firearm transactions.

ATF EFORMs

How ATF Uses Electronic Fingerprint Transmission (EFT) Files

EFT Files are like the express lane on the highway. Instead of waiting days or weeks for fingerprint cards to be mailed and processed, these electronic files are sent instantly. We send the EFT file instantly by email.

ATF EForms Currently Available Forms 1-10

    • ATF Forms 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 6A, 9, 10, and 5300.11 are available for eForms submission.

Note: The Form 4 has returned to eForms. Form 4 is filed by a current qualified federal firearms licensee (FFL) registrant to transfer an NFA weapon to an individual or other entity (non-licensee).

Miami Beach Livescan fingerprinting service will generate an EFT File for ATF EForm(s) Form 4 submissions via a download link and electronic fingerprints for ATF Form 1.
