Privacy Policy

Effective Date: January 22, 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to Miami Beach Fingerprinting ("we," "us," or "our"). We operate the website https://miamibeachfingerprinting.com (the "Site") and provide biometric, notary, and identity-related services. We recognize that your privacy is serious business—especially when handling sensitive biometric data.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website or use our services (including Office Appointments, Mobile Services, and Online Booking).

2. Information We Collect

A. Personally Identifiable Information (PII)

We may collect information that identifies you personally when you book an appointment, fill out a form, or visit our office. This includes:

  • Identity Data: Name, Date of Birth, Social Security Number (SSN), and Government ID numbers.
  • Contact Data: Email address, phone number, and physical address.
  • Biometric Data: Fingerprints and facial photos captured specifically for government submission (FDLE/FBI).
  • Transaction Data: Payment details (processed securely via third-party processors like Stripe or Square).

B. Non-Personal Data (Cookies & Analytics)

We automatically collect anonymous data when you visit our Site to help us improve user experience. This includes IP address, browser type, operating system, and referral sources.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data strictly to fulfill the services you requested. Specifically:

  • Government Submission: To transmit your fingerprints and demographic data directly to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) and/or the FBI via secure, encrypted channels (CJIS compliant).
  • Appointment Management: To confirm your booking, send reminders (via email/SMS), and communicate regarding your appointment status.
  • Payment Processing: To process service fees via secure third-party payment gateways.
  • Customer Support: To respond to your inquiries regarding ORI numbers, rejection letters, or status checks.

4. Biometric Data Policy (Fingerprints)

We treat biometric data with the highest level of security:

  • No Commercial Use: We never sell, lease, trade, or use your fingerprints for marketing purposes.
  • Direct Transmission: Fingerprints are captured digitally and transmitted immediately to the state or federal agency (FDLE/FBI).
  • Retention: We do not permanently store your fingerprints on our local web servers. Once a transaction is successfully transmitted and acknowledged by the FDLE/FBI, the raw biometric data is purged from our local capture stations in accordance with CJIS security policies (usually within 30 days or less).
  • Hard Cards: If you request FD-258 Hard Cards, the physical cards are given directly to you. We do not retain copies unless you specifically pay for our "Archive Service."

5. Disclosure of Your Information

We may share your information only in the following specific situations:

  • Government Agencies: We are required by law to share your PII and Biometrics with the FDLE, FBI, and requesting agencies (e.g., Dept of Health, AHCA, DBPR) to process your background check.
  • Service Providers: We may share data with trusted third-party vendors who assist us in operating our website and conducting business (e.g., Email Hosting, CRM, Payment Processors), provided those parties agree to keep this information confidential.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency).

6. Data Security

We implement CJIS-compliant security measures designed to protect your information:

  • Encryption: All sensitive data transmitted online is protected via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.
  • Physical Security: Our office computers and capture stations are password-protected, encrypted, and located in secure environments.
  • Access Control: Only authorized, background-screened employees have access to your personal information.

7. Mobile & SMS Messaging

By providing your phone number, you consent to receive text messages (SMS) from us regarding your appointment (confirmations, arrival alerts, etc.). You may opt-out of these communications at any time by replying "STOP."
